Notes: Strangely enough, Confederate Rose is neither native nor a rose. Native to China, this popular old garden perennial is highly adaptive to most soil types; draught tolerant once established and rapidly becomes a large shrub. Hard freeze kills it back to the ground. The double flowering cultivars are most popular and resemble a large pink rose. |
