Identification:
- Upright form with an umbrella-like canopy
- Simple leaf, palmate with 3-5 lobes, 12 inches across
- Distinctive fruit with leaf-like structures and 2-3 seeds
- Smooth green bark on trunk and branches

Notes: This unusual species is native to China and Japan, but well adapted to the Southern United States. The large leaves and flowers, unusual fruit and green bark give the Parasoltree a tropical appearance, like a large houseplant. |
