- Leaves: large, ovate, with toothed margins; bronzy green mottled with copper, red or purple.
- Leaf size and color varies greatly between cultivars.
- Upright canes forming a dense mass.
- Flower form reddish catkins, inconspicuous in most cultivars.

Notes: The Copper Plant is a tender perennial, rarely returning after winter freeze. Relatively small transplants planted in the spring grow rapidly and make outstanding summer annuals. Once established the Copper Plant is heat and drought tolerant and provides excellent color and course texture. |
